Jewellery Trends For Men

Published: August 31st, 2010

Men’s jewellery has moved towards the unique and stylish, with tough cues taken from celebrities and athletes. Rap stars or movie stars have played a large part in the developing men jewellery. Jewellery designers are creating specific lines for the ever growing consumer base. As men become more style conscious and have a greater variety to choose from, earrings, bracelets, rings, necklaces and pendants have become more common than just watches or cuff links.

Masculine designs using alternative metals ranging from gold and platinum to anodized aluminum, mix and match the materials to create both corporate looks or casual ensembles. A necklace made of wooden or plain metal beads could combine plain coloured wood or shades of natural wood. Color dyed beads are available to match most styles of clothing. Military dog tags along with symbols such as coins, crests, crosses or royal shields adorn more and more men nowadays. Gold, silver or platinum chains offer a more classier look.

A ring made of silver, combined with black or mounted with a stone can be a stylish addition. From simple, unadorned bands to hefty, sparkling rings with diamond studs, there is no lack of choice. Lustrous sheen of cobalt or glimmer of titanium can offer you the pleasure of experimenting with harsh toned alloys more than women who look glamorous in lighter metals such as silver or gold. Bracelets firmly fitted around the wrist, woven bracelets or traditional steel ones are more and more often part of men’s style.

Stainless steel jewellery is still popular, although alternative metals, such as titanium, tungsten and aluminum are on the rise. It is combined with white gold or sterling silver and more and more with muted gemstones. Turqoise, amber and onyx are crafted into the new designs.
