Designer Jewellery at the Royal Wedding
The jewellery designer who created Kate Middleton’s earrings is Zoe Benyon, a co-founder of the jewellery firm Robinson Pelham. It is believed that Kate’s earrings have cost 15,000 pounds but a spokesman of the jewellery firm said they never disclosed prices their clients paid.
The diamond-set stylized oak leaves with a pear-shaped diamond set drop and a pave-set diamond accord in the centre were inspired by the new coat of arms of the family. Zoe Benyon also created the floral look diamond earrings Kate’s sister wore, Carole’s pendant and earrings and the gold pins that could be seen on the suits of the bride’s father and brother.
Prince William proposed to Kate Middleton with a ring that was one of the world’s most famous pieces of jewellery, a sapphire and diamond ring set in 18 karat gold, a ring that was not a stranger for royal weddings. It had been worn by Lady Diana Spencer when she married Prince Charles in 1981.
Daisy Knights Incredible Jewellery
Daisy Knights hand-made jewellery collections are inspired by nature but also have a bold punk and rock’n’roll edge. The collections feature miniature skulls, shells, feather designs in 22 karat gold vermeil, oxidized silver or sterling silver. The Oxidised Feather ring and the Skull ring have been recently worn by Daisy Lowe and Alexa Chung, UK’s style icons. The feather ring from the Lornie collection is Daisy Knights signature piece, summing up the Daisy Knights woman.
The skull collection was inspired by a friend of hers, Kim, who was a bit of a punk. The pieces are a blend of subtle design and cool style, and the skull rings are offered in both 22 karat gold vermeil and recycled sterling silver. Studded bangles can accompany the rings for a perfect rock’n’roll look but the handcrafted charm bracelets can be a perfect gift for any style or taste.
One other outstanding piece is the gold vermeil multi-band handmade ring with pyramid studs. It has cutout sections and a designer stamped pouch and everything about it is illustrative of the quality designer jewellery provided by Daisy Knights.
Each of Daisy Knights collections are inspired by her friends and each collection embodies one of these friends. The newest one is Talullah having moons as motifs and a bit more colour than her previous collections.
Her workshop is in Britain and Daisy Knights knows every person that works for her, how things are made and she can guarantee that every piece is of very high quality. The majority of the pieces are made of recycled silver. Her fine jewellery collection and engagement rings are ethically minded gold and diamonds.
